Northern New Mexico
During 2020 and 2021, Conservation Collective obtained 47.699 acres in Northern New Mexico. This land is located in a rural, off-grid community. All homes have a passive solar design with rainwater catchment, solar power, greywater planters, and thermal mass heating systems.
43.254 acres “Euphoria”
LAND: 10 acres of “buildable” property + 33.254 acres of a conservation easement
HOME: Minimalist home with all the necessary amenities. Needs some finishing and system updates. 3 bedroom with one bathroom. Septic system with flush toilet and greywater planters. Multi-pitched roof with about 13,000 gallons of rainwater storage.
CONSERVATION EASEMENT: This property is empty space within the community that has served as a wildlife crossing and a deterrent to overdevelopment. Our hope is to evolve the space into an environmental regeneration site by removing invasive species and helping the area to rewild. We also hope to grow a presence within the community to help protect and reinvigorate the environment in the surrounding area.
2.327 acres “Secret Garden”

HOME: Abandoned structure with shell only. The roof needs to redone and finished. Lots of garbage is on the property that will be sorted and discarded responsibly. The building is in need of a solar system, plumbing, floors, and walls. Unique design with north-facing storage spaces.
UPDATES: We’re happy to announce that this property was sold! A friend of the community offered to buy the Screat Garden and honestly, we were shocked! The new owner is a builder with a vision for the property and an appreciation for the community. They are exceptionally gracious and are already helping to improve the amenities within the neighborhood.
2.118 acres “The McGurk”
LAND: 2.118 acres of “buildable” property
HOME: Cozy one-bedroom in need of systems and landscaping. Large workshop on the property that needs to be finished. Outhouse and greywater system. Russian fireplace with a lofted living space. In need of a solar system, a septic system, and an updated propane tank.
UPDATES: We’re happy to announce that this property was sold! Existing community members offered to buy the McGurk and we couldn’t have been happier. The new owners have already evolved this shell into a comfortable and functioning off-grid home! They are reliable, easy-going, and contagiously optimistic. Our intentions are to continue to work together to improve the neighborhood and all the life within it!
